Articles About Order ANAPC2 Antibody
The protein encoded by this Order ANAPC2 antibody is a component of the anaphase-promoting complex/cyclosome (APC/C). It functions to promote metaphase-anaphase transition through ubiquitination and proteasomal degradation of mitotic cyclins, anaphase inhibitors, and other proteins. The APC/C is a cell cycle-regulated E3 ubiquitin ligase that also contains the ring-H2 protein ANAPC11. The canonical human APC/C has eight subunits. This protein shares sequence similarity with a recently identified family of proteins called cullins and is thought to function with them in a protein-degradation pathway.

The cDNA encoding this protein is located on chromosome 9q34.3. Orthologs for this gene have been reported in chimpanzee, Rhesus monkey, dog, mouse, chicken, frog, A.thaliana, and rice. This protein binds to the RING-H2 domains of CDC20 and the APC/C and promotes ubiquitination and degradation of a specific substrate, NEUROD2. It is required for synaptic vesicle clustering in postmitotic neurons. This antibody is generated from a rabbit immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide containing the C-terminus of human APC2 (aa 712-746). It has been validated for WB, Peptide-ELISA and IHC.…
